Description: Youth that have some previous wilderness experience have an opportunity to share a wild adventure with friends and staff mentors. This program is best suited for children who have experience in nature and are capable of more focused skills and adventurous hiking. We will focus on themes such as the natural sciences, stewardship, wilderness survival skills, plant identification, explorations into our local ecosystems, and team building. There will be ongoing projects, time to wander and discover, and skill achievement as desired. Our instructors are all experienced wilderness mentors with years of skills and knowledge in bringing kids and nature together. The days include hiking between 1- 3 miles.
