Description: Children are introduced to the Ventura River through songs, nature crafts, stories, and so much more. Every day has space for exploring, games, building, climbing, swimming, digging, relaxing, and making friends. We introduce safety and leadership skills that allow for wise and compassionate choices. An appreciation for the diversity and interdependence of living things and sensory explorations that lead to a keen desire to get dirty, get wet, and be curious about life! Staff are experienced outdoor leaders, teachers, and parents with years of skills and knowledge in bringing kids and nature together through gentle mentoring, ecstatic explorations, and creative projects. The days include minimal hiking (1⁄4 - 1 mile).
